I love things that are simple

Micah and I had a photo shoot last Sunday whose pictures, if you remember my panic attack and subsequent testimony, were mysteriously deleted off of the SD card, which we prayed over, and Micah was able to recover all but 10 of them. Again, Praise the Lord! Well, I was able to get step 1 done of the process last week where I sorted through the pictures and deleted and whittled down until we had the ones we wanted for sure, about 110 of them.

Then our poor mac's evil fan decided to die on us so it was off to the Mac Store for a fix.. only, it wasn't a quick fix. Oh no, they had to order the part and of course it took longer than the estimated time (it always does). Micah had dropped off the computer on Monday and just got the call this afternoon to pick it up. And none too soon...

After we got home I kissed mac and welcomed him back home and then settled in to work on pictures. Normally, it will take several hours to edit the pictures.. not so with these. Those earlier prayers from last week must still be sticking around cause It took me all of an hour and half to do all the pictures and end up with 80 final prints that I'll be uploading to their gallery tomorrow.

Wow. We didn't even make it through the second episode of NCIS before I was finished.. the pictures were just that good. All they needed was some cropping here and there and some boost to the contrast, and volia! It was just a perfect day, the perfect subjects, and lots of blessings..

Speaking of blessings...

Micah and I had gone down to the Diamond Center to pick up the computer from the Mac Store. Baby was hungry so decided to be spontaneous and splurge a little so we went to a Mexican restaurant for supper... Mmmm.. good stuff.. We haven't eaten out other than village inn for months, much less gone on a "date" that wasn't during lunch time, so this was a nice little self-prescribed surprise. But the blessing happened while we were driving to the Mac Store. We had to cross the two lanes of oncoming traffic and of course rush hour on a friday night had the turn lane backed up nearly to the other light. We couldn't see around the other cars until someone pulled forward enough for us to watch the other lane. We watched for a gap and finally saw one. Stepping on the gas and edging forward, we doubled checked the lane, saw that it was clear, and stepped on the gas to hurry across. No sooner had we entered the other lane than this blue station wagon came barreling down on us, blaring his horn. Micah gunned it and we shot into the parking lot just as the station wagon blew by us...

whew... talk about accelerated heart beat... We looked and saw that the guy had turned out of a parking lot a little ways back and there was simply no way of us seeing him, or him seeing us... but we were really close to seeing each other.. up close and personal... It gave me scary flashbacks to my other accident, except that time it was the slamming on the brakes that saved our lives.

Either way... God is continuing to protect us. As soon as Micah and I pulled into the parking lot we grabbed each other's hands and started praying thanksgiving to God... for what could have been, but wasn't..

So, ending the day with praise on my lips.. Thank you, Lord Jesus, for watching of Micah, Baby, and I... we love you, too...
