Hello 25 Weeks!

You are 25 weeks pregnant!

Your baby's not the only one with more hair — your locks may look more full and lustrous than ever. It's not that you're growing more hair, but due to hormonal changes, the hair you'd normally shed is sticking around longer than usual. Enjoy the fullness while you can — the extra hair will fall out after you give birth.

Baby is the size of an eggplant!

That oh-so-handy sense of equilibrium is kicking in, and baby's learning to distinguish right side up from upside down.

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. Her weight — a pound and a half — isn't much more than an average rutabaga, but she's beginning to exchange her long, lean look for some baby fat. As she does, her wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and she'll start to look more and more like a newborn. She's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

From me!

I have noticed the difference in my hair, as it's a lot more shiny and thicker than normal. But it's falling out more than ever too. All I have to do is run my fingers through my hair and it comes out in gobs. So it's a good thing that my hair is so thick, otherwise I would be bald!

Micah and I will be taking baby pictures tomorrow! I think we're going to do some tummy-only shots since my bump is nearing the end of it's "cute" stage. According to Micah though (and most anyone else who knows I'm pregnant), I still don't look as though I'm 6 months. Well, I assure you, I am. Do the math. I am 6 months pregnant. I might not look it, but I am.

The only new complaint I have is that I'm starting to have trouble sleeping at night. I tend to be very restless and toss and turn until I fall asleep from exhaustion. It makes for some very long nights.
