ooooo.. that's a good one

I really like my opening devotion for Sunday School this morning. (For those of you that don't know, I'm SS Superintendent here at my local church and in lieu of the of the traditional song-and-bible-verse, I've been doing a simple five-minute devotion to open up the service. It takes the same amount of time but gets the wheels rolling, if you know what I mean) Well, today's devotion is a take on something I read in my personal devotions this week. It was actually intended for LAST Sunday but with the whole "locked door" fiasco, we just went straight into SS and skipped everything else. (It definitely wasn't a "normal" Sunday, that's for sure!) So that brings us to today. I would go ahead and share it, but some of our church members actually read blogs in the morning and I don't want to give anything away.

Also, since Brother and Sister Nowling are out of town visiting their folks, we're only going to have Sunday School and worship this morning and then tonight is canceled, well, kind of. I talked to Joey about it after service Sunday night and we decided to sort of do a continuation for her youth event the other Saturday. With that being said, once service is over we'll all head over to the Nowling's and will have lunch and then proceed to play every manner of game humanly possible for the rest of the afternoon and on into the evening. WOOHOO! Micah's even more excited as this is his last social contact before he disappears for two weeks into the bleak abyss of the Denali building.

SO. See you this afternoon!
