Alaskan Triple Sunset

I was looking over the last year's photos to find some to enter in an upcoming photography contest when I ran across this picture that I obviously had completely forgotten about.

This was taken last August (2008) as I was coming to Alaska from visiting in TN. We were about 30,000 feet in the air when I looked out the side window and saw this beautiful sunset. I took the picture with my little point-and-shoot, downloaded it to the pc, and then promptly forgot about it.

When I found it yesterday, much to my surprise and delight I found that there was more to the picture that what originally met the eye. Somehow, through the way that little lens was, or the position of the plane, or something, the sun was tripled, with one on each side of the original.

Needless to say, I've never seen anything like this.
